The Alignment Process
When you come to our clinic for your treatment, we make a scan of your teeth. Then, we use that to create a series of slightly different tray designs, starting with your current teeth and becoming increasingly straight until they match your ideal set of teeth. Our team sends these designs to an offsite manufacturer, who creates the trays out of a clear resin.
At a separate appointment, we fit your first aligner. You should wear each aligner for 2 to 4 weeks until your teeth straighten. Then, you’ll replace the aligner tray with the next one in the sequence and repeat the process until you meet your goals.
You won’t need to come to the office for every tray replacement, but we will schedule periodic appointments to monitor your progress.
Seeing Results
Your results timeline varies based on the starting positions of your teeth. Less crooked teeth require fewer aligners.
We don’t want to try to adjust your teeth too much at a time, as that could damage your teeth. And at Evolve Dentistry & Aesthetics, we’re in the business of repairing teeth, not damaging them.
In general, patients can expect to use anywhere from 15 to 20 trays over the course of multiple months. After the process finishes, our providers supply a final aligner that you should wear at night every night.
